Sandhole Oak Barn Wedding, Jungle Theme – Gemma & Ed Morris
A jungle themed wedding at Sandhole Oak Barn wedding venue in Cheshire. This time with Gemma & Ed who brought the Amazon Rainforest to the venue, to recreate Ed’s proposal in the jungle.
From our time together on their pre-wedding shoot I discovered that they had big plans for their wedding and I was really excited to be their wedding photographer. Gemma and Ed planned such a bespoke wedding, utilising some incredibly talented wedding suppliers to help create their wedding day vision.
On the day every detail they had meticulously planned came together perfectly. Sandhole Oak Barn looked very much a part of the jungle, right down to the small details of birds and insects chirping as guests filtered into the reception room. Even the sun stayed with us, allowing everyone to enjoy the surrounding grounds and stunning lake views from the oak barn decked area.
For me, Gemma and Ed’s unique wedding day moments had to start with the guys getting ready at the Waggon & Horses pub  – watching Ed’s brother, Will, opening beer bottles with beer bottles. The keepsake box during the ceremony was something I’ve not seen before (really nice idea), G&E hopping over a fence for some sunset portrait photos in the nearby field (we love this shot!!) and not forgetting their first dance with a lift, which was brilliant.
I ended my coverage photographing Gemma and Ed across the lake under a beautiful setting sun – a standout feature at Sandhole Oak Barn wedding venue. I really enjoyed my time with Gemma and Ed and their family and friends. I was treated as a guest and left feeling like one too. To be part of their wedding was a real pleasure, thank you Mr and Mrs Morris 🙂
