Livvy and Tegan booked me to document their March wedding at Foxtail Barns. They opted for a bespoke wedding photography package that included capturing their wedding up to the reception and then returning in the evening for a creative shoot in the newly installed light tunnel.

Morning Preparations & Bridal Party Moments

I began the day by exploring the grounds of Foxtail Barns, capturing the venue’s ambiance, the stunning decor, and the natural beauty of the surroundings—perfect for setting the scene and enhancing the storytelling of their day.

Inside the dressing room, the excitement was palpable. Livvy was having her makeup applied, surrounded by her bridal party. The atmosphere buzzed as the hairstylists and makeup artists worked their magic. A particularly touching moment unfolded when Livvy & Tegan’s dog arrived, bringing pure joy to the room. Their heartfelt cuddle made for a beautiful, emotional capture—after all, pets are family too!

Meanwhile, I caught up with Tegan in the bar area, where she was greeting family and friends. The classic pre-wedding moment of fixing buttonhole flowers brought laughter and smiles, making for great candid shots.

As a documentary wedding photographer, I love working at Foxtail Barns. The venue’s layout makes it easy to move around discreetly, allowing for authentic, unposed moments. Knowing that Tegan preferred a more natural approach, I focused on capturing the day in true documentary style.

Livvy wanted a few key moments captured—her mum buttoning her dress and a heartfelt first look with her dad. These intimate moments were a joy to photograph, adding depth to their wedding story.

A Ceremony Filled with Love & Laughter

The love between Livvy and Tegan shone through every moment of their ceremony. There was plenty of laughter, a few happy tears, and an overwhelming sense of joy. One of my favorite images from the day is of them walking out together with their dog, a perfect reflection of their love and personalities. They even included their dog in their confetti exit, making for a fun and memorable shot!

After the ceremony, Livvy and Tegan enjoyed a relaxed drinks reception, mingling with family and friends. The sunny weather encouraged guests to venture outdoors and soak in the venue’s gorgeous surroundings.

For their couple’s portraits, we hopped into one of the venue’s golf buggies and explored the estate gardens. We spent time by the bridge, wandered around the lake, and captured romantic moments on the main drive before being picked up again. The natural beauty of the setting, combined with Livvy and Tegan’s effortless chemistry, made for some truly stunning wedding portraits.

Later that evening, I returned to photograph Livvy and Tegan in Foxtail Barns’ newly installed light tunnel – a spectacular backdrop for some creative night photography. They were excited about incorporating smoke bombs, and I was thrilled to experiment with flash lighting and dramatic effects to create some truly epic shots.
