Emma and James like my more creative, arty stuff so I was thrilled when they hired me as their wedding photographer. There’s nothing better than producing work for couples who understand your signature style of photography.
Their wedding venue is Brocton Hall Golf Club, a new venue for me that I can’t wait to work at, it boasts beautiful grounds, large ponds, ruins and the hall itself – stunning.
Shugborough gardens was their location choice for their engagement session, which during the summer period is exploding with colour. On the day it was warm with a scattering of clouds allowing for some blue sky to make an appearance. The first few pics were of James and Emma in a tunnel underneath a bridge, a great opportunity to get the remotes and gels out!! After bagging this shot we walked into Shugborough Gardens, which looked amazing. The bridges, architecture and blossoming flowers made it difficult to select locations – we were spoilt for choice.
James and Emma were keen on returning to the gardens on their wedding day so the engagement session was proving very helpful for spotting good light and suitable locations that work with my style.
We finished off taking some pictures on the bridge crossing into the gardens, a shot James was very keen on. Afterwards, we drove back together, chatting about their wedding and scouting locations for a nice car pic. I’m now very excited about being there to tell their wedding story – it’s sounds like an amazing one too.
