Up on The Roaches again, this time for Lisa & David’s pre-wedding photo shoot.
On the night of their photography shoot we were in contacts only minutes before our meet time, the weather looking very unpredictable. With the cloud eventually breaking a couple of hours before sunset we decided to head up, normally sun and stormy clouds makes for some breathtaking landscape imagery – and we were in for a treat.
We started with some pictures in a field not far from The Three Horseshoes Inn & Spa, in Bradshaw Moor, near Leek, and then made our way towards The Roaches to catch the dipping sun and beautiful light on show. On route Dave and Lisa spotted some deer in a nearby field, we abandoned our cars to the verge and I quickly grabbed some pics before they turned their backs and fled. I’d never seen these deer at this location before so was really chuffed to have a shot of them all looking at the camera – happy days.
As 9:20pm (sunset time) drew ever closer we took some final pictures, L & D embracing each other with the sun an orange and red ball just clipping the horizon behind them – a perfect end to a great couple of hours spent with two lovely people. Until the wedding, then!
